In the beginning

From painting Pet Portraits on a tiny pink desk in a spare room, to having a beautiful, cozy home studio set up put together with many head-bumps by Jacqueline’s fiancé, Mitch, the evolution of GalacticatStudios has been quite the journey!

My first step was 30 Days of Art in 2019 where I challenged myself to continue doing art using as many mediums as I had access to in order to keep myself accountable. It was during this that I painted my first Pet Portrait of my cat, Marty. Then came the 30 Days of Dogs on my YouTube channel which I kept up weekly uploads for some time before eventually joining Twitch in August 2020 (and subsequently abandoning YouTube, whoops!!) I even got to take my art to TwitchCon in 2022 (which still blows my mind)

The best part of this journey has been meeting the lovely people in the art community, and finding the love of my life, Mitch, through livestreaming. I felt so included and grateful that people out there appreciated art. It gave me a purpose and something to strive for, to show up for them week in and week out, and I finally felt I’d found my place in the world ♡

Since meeting Mitch in 2021, GalacticatStudios evolved from a humble beginning into a team. We are both artists that met on Twitch and since becoming engaged, have made GalacticatStudios what it is today. Jacqueline is based out of Australia and is still the artist and face of ‘Galacticat’, while Mitch works out of America and helps out with much of the behind-the-scenes work. Using our long-distance relationship to our advantage, this means that either one of us will be able to pack your order for you depending on where you are to ensure it gets to you as quick as possible!
